If you’re going to be around George Mason on Wednesday, 9/21, please stop by Dewberry North in the Johnson Center at 1:30 p.m. and attend our Fall for the Book panel.
Jamy Bond, Leslie Bumstead, Jean Donnelly, and Colleen Kearney Rich — the co-founders of So to Speak — will read samples from their own writing, discuss their experiences with the journal since its inception 18 years ago, and share what they hope lies ahead for feminist writing.
When these four founded the journal back in 1992, third-wave feminism was BRAND SPANKIN’ NEW! What was that culture like during the founding of the journal? How did they come up with the name “So to Speak”? I am so excited about this panel and hope to see you there, too.
